石家庄市第二医院（石家庄市糖尿病医院、石家庄市口腔医院、原石家庄地区人民医院）始建于1952年，是一所集医教研、健康教育、预防保健、康复医学及院前急救为一体的综合医院。设有院本部（华西路53号）、南院区（工农路425号）、东院区（石家庄市口腔医院/向阳路25号），为省级现代医院管理制度建设样板、石家庄市慢病防治中心、石家庄市糖尿病专病医联体牵头医院、石家庄市新华医疗集团总医院。

Founded in 1952, Shijiazhuang Second Hospital (Shijiazhuang Diabetes Hospital, Shijiazhuang Stomatological Hospital, the former Shijiazhuang District People's Hospital) is a comprehensive hospital integrating medical service, teaching, research, health education, prevention, health care, rehabilitation and emergency. It has a headquarter (No.53 Huaxi Road ), south branch(No.425Gongnong Road ), and east branch (Shijiazhuang Stomatological Hospital/No.25 Xiangyang Road ). The hospital is hailed as a model for the modern hospital management system. It is also home to Shijiazhuang Chronic Disease Prevention and Treatment Center, Shijiazhuang Diabetes Medical Alliance, and Shijiazhuang Xinhua Medical Group.

规模设置：现有在职职工1100余人，专业技术人员1000人，其中高级技术职称人员近200人，博士、硕士研究生350余人。设有临床科室48个、医技科室19个，开设专业57个，开放床位950张。年门（急）诊量55万余人次，年出院病人2.5万余人次。

Scale setting: There are more than 1100 employees, 1000 professionals included. Nearly 200 persons are endowed with senior  titles  and more than 350 persons have doctoral or master degree. It builds 48 clinical departments, 19 medical technology departments, covering 57 specialties. It is equipped with 950 beds. The annual number of outpatients is more than 550,000, and it discharges more than 25,000 patients annually.

Brand specialty: Endocrinology (diabetes) Department is listed as a key TCM specialty in Hebei Province, a key medical discipline in Shijiazhuang, and one of the 10-celebrated specialties in Shijiazhuang. It sets 4 basic departments and 15 featured departments and specialties, equipped with 450 beds. The diabetes checking center, laboratory, gene testing laboratory, and biological sample bank, which can screen diabetes and its complications, can help with gene diagnosis and precise medication guidance. Key discipline: Stomatology Department, a key development discipline of medicine and one of the 10-celebrated departments in Shijiazhuang, is divided into 10 secondary disciplines. It consists of three branches respectively in the headquarter, south district, and east district. There are more than 140 comprehensive treatment chairs. It has X-ray related equipment (tomography, CBCT, digital imaging dental machine), root canal microscope, Florida probe, root canal instrument, gutta percha,laser,CAD/CAM, scanner, porcelain oven, crystallization furnace and other equipment, which can be used for immediate implant, full mouth implant, minimally invasive implant, application of implant guide plate, bone increment, pre-crown technology, invisible orthodontics, and laser application in periodontal disease and peri-implantitis, etc. Its Stomatology Research Institute conducts research in the diagnosis and treatment of oral diseases and promotes the transformation of achievements, devoting itself to protecting the oral health of the public.

Featured specialties: Intensive care medicine, neurology and neurosurgery, cardiovascular medicine and surgery, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology have gained coordinated development. Among them, the Department of Intensive Care Medicine is a municipal key clinical specialty in Shijiazhuang.

Scientific research and teaching: The hospital stays committed to  the strategy of developing the hospital through science and technology. Thanks to its effort, now it is designated for natural science foundation project, drug clinical trial, medical instruments clinical trial, and the construction of major scientific and technological projects. Hebei Provincial Key Laboratory of Basic Medical Research and Shijiazhuang Technology Innovation Center of Diabetes Precision Diagnosis and Treatment are located in the hospital, carrying out scientific research and technology innovation in diabetes precision medicine, genetic testing and translational medicine. Every year, the hospital carries out national follow-up programs and many provincial and municipal follow-up programs. A training base has been built for assistant general practitioners under charge of  Hebei Province.

新华医疗集团：2019年，经市政府批准，医院牵头组建了石家庄市首家城市医疗集团--石家庄市新华医疗集团，新华区全部社区卫生服务机构参与组建，统筹负责集团内70万居民预防、治疗、康复、健康促进等一体化、连续性医疗服务，为“河北省典型城市医疗集团”。

Xinhua Medical Group: In 2019, approved by the municipal government, the hospital took the lead in establishing Shijiazhuang Xinhua Medical Group, the first urban medical group in Shijiazhuang, with all community health service centers in Xinhua District involved, which offers the integrated and continuous medical services such as prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and healthcare for 700,000 residents in the group.
